Happening now: Gaza Strip

The conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians has been going on ever since Israel became its own independent state in 1948. It's a constant struggle between the two groups, both with valid arguments. Palestinians were robbed of their homeland, while at the same, the Jewish people have been persecuted for thousands of years with nowhere to call their homeland. More recently, experts have estimated that Gaza needs more than 800,000 truckloads of construction material in order to repair infrastructure damaged by the war with Israel during 2014.
